Vision
At Next Level Special Teams Academy, our vision is to inspire and empower young athletes to reach their highest potential. Through expert coaching from current CFL players, we provide the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to excel on special teams—a critical pathway to breaking into the CFL and building a successful pro football career.
We aim to instill the importance of playing special teams for every athlete, the importance of proper technique for all special teams positions, how to analyze film and schemes of an opponent, and how to properly fuel your body and enhance recovery to maximize your potential. Our goal is to leave every athlete with extensive knowledge on the techniques and fundamentals that will translate to enhanced performance on the field. After this academy these young athletes will have the confidence that they can always play at the Next Level.

Our Founders
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Riley Pickett and Josh Hagerty have been playing football for more than 17 years. From winning a hardy cup with the University of Saskatchewan to both being drafted into the CFL, they have evolved their games to become veteran elite special teams players. It is their goal to help as many young athletes across Canada earn scholarships and be recruited to play post secondary football.
