Coach Couture, a native of Burnaby, British Columbia, attended high school with the Centennial Centaurs and earned a full scholarship to play offensive line at Simon Fraser University. His versatility to start at all five positions on the offensive line and his dominant play led to his selection as the 10th overall pick in the second round of the CFL Draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. After winning two Grey Cups, he returned home to become the franchise center for the BC Lions. Mike is a seasoned 10-year CFL veteran.
