Nathan Cherry, an exceptional talent hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has made a significant impact in the world of Canadian football. A former standout for the Aden Bowman Bears, Cherry showcased his versatility by excelling as both a defensive and offensive lineman during his high school career. As a blue-chip recruit for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, he lived up to the lofty expectations placed upon him, establishing himself as a formidable defensive lineman known for his precision and technique in both pass rushing and run stopping. In 2022, his outstanding performance earned him recognition as a First Team U-Sports All Canadian, complemented by a remarkable combine showing where he repped 225 pounds for 26 reps and achieved a 33.5-inch vertical jump. Following his collegiate success, Cherry was selected 3rd overall in the first round of the draft by the BC Lions, where he quickly became a key contributor, starting eight games and accumulating 12 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Now, as a coach at Next Level, Cherry's expertise shines through in his guidance on block shedding, hand fighting, and explosiveness drills, making him an invaluable asset to aspiring athletes.
