Coach Wiebe, a standout talent from Calgary, Alberta, took an unconventional path to success, attending IMG Academy for two seasons before walking on at the University of Oregon. His relentless work ethic, coachability, and impressive football IQ quickly caught the attention of the coaching staff, earning him a coveted scholarship with the Ducks. Living and breathing special teams, especially the core four, Wiebe made a significant impact in the 2021 Fiesta Bowl, racking up six tackles against Iowa State and being named Player of the Game for his outstanding performance. In 2022, he transferred to the University of Saskatchewan to further immerse himself in the Canadian game, where his hard work culminated in being named the Canada West Defensive Player of the Year. His remarkable career trajectory continued with his selection as the 12th overall pick in the CFL Draft.
