Pick 5.heic

Coach Pickett understands firsthand the significance of elevating your special teams skills to the Next Level. Growing up in Saskatoon and attending Centennial Collegiate, he faced the challenge of having no offers for collegiate football. Determined, he participated in Saskatoon Hilltops camp and secured a position on the roster, focusing on excelling in the core 4 special teams roles. His outstanding performance earned him a place on Team Canada in 2016, winning a world championship. Pickett's adaptability and coachability as a player led to a 14 sack season with the Saskatoon Hilltops in 2017, and a full scholarship offer from the Saskatchewan Huskies for the 2018 season. Pickett was selected 41st overall in the CFL draft as a defensive end in 2022. This was only the beginning of his journey. In his second year in the CFL, he transitioned to starting long snapper after just one off-season of training for the position. By his third year, he took on the role of short snapper for the season while continuing to contribute on the core 4 special teams, and started 3 games as a fullback. His experiences illustrate the vital role that special teams play in advancing to the Next Level and maintaining a career in the sport we love. Pickett attains his athletic success to his ability to adapt, overcome, and be present in the moment.
